NHRDN-Udai Pareek Scholarship for HR Students 

 

Background

National HRD Network is the largest professional body of HR Professionals in India. Through its multifaceted activities, the network has created a critical mass of leadership in Indian Business and Industry. Established in 1986, NHRDN has completed 25 years of serving the HR Fraternity in India. In its Silver Jubilee year, NHRDN announced Scholarships for HR Students.

Objectives

The objective of the NHRDN Scholarship is to encourage and recognize promising HR students.

NHRDN Scholarship is based on the Principles of -

  • Inclusivity and Participation
  • Recognize meritocracy
  • Celebrate achievements
  • Objectivity and transparency

Scope

  • All reputed management institutes offering a 2-year full-time HR Course with a batch of minimum 30 students in HR Programme.

Process

  • Each Institute is to nominate 2 students each based on the following minimum criteria. In addition, they could also nominate 1 student from ‘socially / physically challenged’ category.
  • Based on below criteria, National Secretariat  tabulate the scores :
  • Academic performance of 1st year (minimum equivalent to 70%)
  • Involvement in atleast 2 types of extra-curricular activities in the MBA College (not of school / graduation). They could be sports, cultural activities, leadership for college fests, social responsibility, etc. Those done as part of the academic requirements are not considered for this purpose.
  • Quality of Summer Internship
  • A Research Paper of upto 2000 words on any HR topic of their choice.
  • Each Institute is required to forward their entries with above details to National Secretariat. A panel of 3 to 4 eminent HR professionals short-lists the 10 best entries for the final round. NHRDN National Jury assesses the Research Papers. The overall evaluation is done on the following criteria.
    • Academics - 25
    • Extra-curricular activities - 15
    • Summer Internship - 25
    • Research Paper - 35
    • The Winners of the Scholarship, based on the cumulative scores will receive Scholarship of Rs 1 lakh each along with a Certificate. The Winners are felicitated at NHRDN Annual National Conference.
