National President's Message 20-Dec-2011

Dear friends,

I was thrilled to see many of our members during the 15th National Conference: Live and Breathe the Change on November 17- 19 2011 in Bangalore. The National Conference was indeed a successful one with a huge delegate turnout and positive feedback from the participants. I convey my warm compliments to the leadership team, chapter team, and volunteers of the National Conference for their commitment, unique thought process and hard work to make it a grand success. The NHRDN Board Meeting has been a tradition that reflects strong focus on Governance and Institution Building and this time it was the 75th Board Meeting of the NHRDN. I would like to thank all the board members for taking out time from their busy schedule and be a part of the 75th Board Meeting. I really owe my sincere thanks to the board members for their continuous support towards taking NHRDN to new professional benchmarks. On December 6, 2011, NHRDN will complete 25 years. Throughout its 25 year history, the National HRD Network has been committed to strengthening the HRD movement in the country and in developing and maintaining the standards of professional excellence in HRD. In its earliest years, the organization was amongst the first in India to bring the issue of HRD movement to the attention of the thought leaders. It is a source of great pride to me that NHRDN has come long way to help stimulate the knowledge and skills of HR professionals and also offering a great platform for networking with co-professionals. In its 25 years of HR journey, NHRDN has been successful in breaking new ground for the HRD movement in terms of HR Research and reducing the Global destination gap. Based on the vision of Late Dr. Udai Pareek & Dr. TV Rao and the all the Founding members, Board members, Chapters’ Presidents volunteering work, passion & continuous support, NHRDN has grown over the 25 years and is able to serve the fraternity in the most meaningful way. This December all NHRDN Chapters are celebrating 25 years of NHRDN by organizing a ceremonial event in their respective chapters. I am sure the synergy generated from such a initiative will take the HRD movement forward with greater surge and putting Indian HR professionals on top of global capacity, achievement and well deserved recognition. As the year 2011 draws to an end, we feel that we can look back on a successful and eventful year for NHRDN. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the members of NHRDN a very happy & prosperous New Year for 2012, filling up your heart with new hopes, opening up new horizons, bringing new opportunities for a brighter tomorrow.
