National HRD Network and NHRDN Kolkata Chapter, invite you to its Learning Centre’s one day workshop on Talent Management in Kolkata.

Talent Management can be simply described as the art and science of attracting, developing and retaining talent – the three key deliverables of the HR function. If you were to review the wide spectrum of what organizations have done to meet the challenges and capitalize on opportunities that Talent Management presents in diverse industries and organizations, you will get a kaleidoscopic and breathtaking view of people best practices.
 

Objectives

The objective of this HR functional technical competence module is to study the concepts and processes of managing Talent thorough understanding to identify, develop and retain talent and to evaluate the effectiveness of Talent Management in an Organizational setting

The Facilitators:

Nadeem Kazim-Executive Vice President (HR & Personnel), Exide Industries Limited

Mr Nadeem Kazim is a post graduate in Personal Management & Industrial Relations from Xavier Institute of Social Services. He started his Human Resource career with Ballarpur Industries Limited in 1986.

He moved to Tata Steel in 1991 and served them for 18 years in various capacities in IR, HR and L&D roles. He played a pivotal role in designing & introducing innovating HR practices for Tata steel. He was chosen to lead key HR initiatives such as introducing strategic HR, Strategic Outsourcing and HR due diligence & acquisitions as a member in the acquisition team. He led the learning & development function for Tata steel & group companies before moving from Tata Steel.He is currently serving Exide Industries Limited as an Executive Vice President (HR & Personnel) at Kolkata. He is the Excom member in the top management team of Exide. He is also the Board of Director of the subsidiary companies of Exide Industries, e.i. Chloride Metals Limited & Caldyne Automatics Limited. In the current assignment he spearheads Corporate HR and strategic IR initiatives for the company. He has introduced many pioneering HR practices in the company.

PJ Anand- Divisional Manager–OD, ITC Limited (Tobacco Division)

P J Anand is the Divisional Manager – Organization Development of the Tobacco Division. After completing his MBA in 1990 from XLRI, he joined ITC as a Management Trainee in the Human Resources function, based in the Packaging and Printing Division, Chennai. During his tenure in the company, he has handled a wide range of responsibilities in Human Resources in the Tobacco Division and the Packaging and Printing Division as well as a stint in the Manufacturing function. He was the Employee Relations Manager of the Tobacco Division before assuming charge as the Divisional Manager – Organization Development in 2005. He has also been a Member of the CII Eastern Region committee on Industrial Relations and Human Resources.

Bhaskar Das

Bhaskar Das, an alumnus of XLRI’s 89 batch, has extensive experience in human resources management, organization development of total quality management (TQM). He has worked with reputable companies, both in India and abroad.He started his career with TVS Whirlpool and worked with organizations like Eicher, Inchcape Plc, ICI, Sutherland Technologies and Cognizant.In his last role at Cognizant, Bhaskar was responsible for the human relations function catering to all the HR aspects. His focus was on streamlining the HR function and enhancing Cognizant’s highly rated performance-oriented culture.

Prior to joining Cognizant, Bhaskar was responsible for starting Sutherland’s BPO Operations in India. He is qualified Lead Assessor for ISO, an accredited interpreter of several aptitude and psychometric instruments, and a fellow and faculty of Sumedhas—the Academy of Human Context.
