National HRD Network and NHRDN Bangalore Chapter, invite you to the Learning Centre’s one day workshop in Bangalore on Performance Management.

The distance organizations need to travel from ‘Good’ to ‘Great’ depend a lot on their ability to deliver sustained business performance that creates a win-win for all key stakeholders. A key enabler to this is a robust Performance Management system that motivates employees to take stretch goals and reward them for the meaningful contributions. When effectively implemented Performance Management Systems can mobilize the human energy in an organization and achieve breakthrough performance.
The objective of this functional technical competence module is to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills in effectively implementing performance management systems.

Who should attend?
The program will be designed for HR Practitioners with around 3-7 years work experience and is a must for human resource managers/professionals who want to bring a about a positive change and better improve the performance of their organization, using the correct techniques and principles of performance management.

The Facilitators:

Rajgopalan Raghavan-General Manager & Head, HR, GE John F Welch Technology Centre 
 Raj Raghavan is currently HR Leader for General Electric’s India Technology Centres since 2007.  He is based at John F. Welch Technology Centre, which has over 4000 Scientists & Technologists, and is GE’s first and largest integrated, multidisciplinary Research, Engineering & Technology Centre outside USA. 

Raj joined GE in 1999 at GE Capital International Services (now Genpact) and was their Vice President & HR Site Leader based in Hyderabad, India for their Global Finance & Accounting Business and GE’s India Treasury Operations. Earlier, he was Vice President, Human Resources for Gecis IT Services and later promoted to head HR for their Technology Group consisting of IT Services, Software, Content Solutions, Industrial and Analytics Centres of Excellence.

Prior to this, Raj was Head of Human Resources at HSBC Global Resourcing in India where he was responsible for overall HR Leadership to their captive servicing centers across India. He earlier held various HR leadership positions at Unilever (Brooke Bond Lipton), primarily managing Industrial Relations at Manufacturing Sites across various locations in India; and Ford Motor Company leading their India Launch Training and Selection Systems.  Raj began his HR career at Eureka Forbes, India’s leading Direct Sales Company.

He earned his Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Madras   and Masters in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from the Madras School of Social Work.

C. Mahalingam (Mali)-Executive Vice President & Global Chief People Officer -Symphony Services Corporation

Mali Mahalingam has been with the Symphony Services Corporation as Executive Vice President & Global Chief People Officer for over 6 years now. In this capacity, Mali is responsible for creating a high growth and high performance organization besides building leadership bench for fuelling the growth of the Company.

Prior to joining Symphony Services, Mali was Vice President-HR for India/South Asia with IBM India and was a member of the IBM India Leadership Team. Prior to IBM, Mali was also the Country Manager and Vice President-HR for Hewlett-Packard India. During his tenure as HR leader, HP emerged as the 3rd Best Employer to work in India. Prior to HP, Mali was Director-Human Resources for the Software Operations of the Royal Philips Electronics India. During his 5 year stint with Philips, Philips Software Center emerged as the 5th Best Employer in India.
Mali is very active professionally. He has been the President of the IT Industry HR Association of Karnataka for well over 8 years. He has also been a member of the CII National HR Committee for over 10 years besides being the HR Panel Chair for the CII Karnataka for a couple of times. Mali is also a mentor for the NASSCOM’s mentorship panel that selects and mentors IT and ITES companies in the SME segment and nurtures them to higher levels of growth. Mali is one of the four architects who designed and delivered the HR Competency Framework developed under the aegis of CII and National HRD Network. This framework has since then become a beacon for the HR professionals in India.
Mali is on the Governing Boards and Board of Studies of various reputed Business Schools in India such as School of Inspired Leadership (SOIL) Delhi, Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM) Trichy, Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies (KIAMS) Harihar and Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Pune. He is a regular visiting faculty at IIM-Bangalore, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS University), Symbiosis University in India besides Gutherberg University in Sweden and Vienna University in Austria. A frequently invited speaker at National and International Conferences, Mali is a well respected thought leader in the areas of HR Strategy, Measurement of HR, business strategy, Innovation, leadership and total quality management.
Mali is a certified auditor for the European Quality Award (EFQM). During his tenure with Royal Philips Electronics, Mali has audited several Philips organizations worldwide as a core member of the audit/assessment team. Mali has published over 200 articles in various reputed journals and news papers on various aspects of HR, leadership and personal development besides contributing chapters to a few books on HR. Mali did his Masters in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from the autonomous Loyola College, Chennai which he passed out with Golden Jubilee Gold Medal.
